A. C. Community Interest Items This is a standing item on the agenda of every regular meeting of the City Council. An "item of community interest" includes the following: expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; information regarding holiday schedules; honorary recognitions of city officials, employees, or other citizens; reminders about upcoming events sponsored by the city or other entity that is scheduled to be attended by city official or city employee; and announcements involving imminent public health and safety threats to the city.

5. CITIZEN APPEARANCES Other than public hearings, citizens in attendance who desire to speak to City Council may speak during this section. Speakers in attendance: Each person will be allowed three (3) minutes to speak and will not be interrupted by City Council or staff. If you would like to speak, please fill out a speaker card and give the completed card to the City Secretary prior to addressing City Council. 6. CONSENT AGENDA All items listed below are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of the items unless a Councilmember or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and considered in its normal sequence. Approval of the consent agenda authorizes the City Manager to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendations.
A. Pecan Grove located near the intersection of County Road 714 and Broad Valley Court (Case 20-013): Hold a public hearing and consider approval of an ordinance amending ordinance B-582, the zoning ordinance of the City of Burleson, Texas by amending the official zoning map and amending Planned Development Zoning Ordinance CSO#932-11-2018 for the purposes of modifying the lot layout and adding standards for installation of street trees on approximately 34.49 acres of land in Pecan Grove located near the intersection of County Road 714 and Broad Valley Court in the city of Burleson, Johnson County, Texas, making this ordinance cumulative of prior ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty clause; and providing for an effective date. (First and Final Reading) (Staff Presenter: Mandy Clark, Development Services Director) (The Planning and Zoning Commission tabled this item and continued their public hearing to their July 28, 2020 meeting.) This item was tabled at the Planning and Zoning Commission due to conflicts between the land plan within the draft ordinance and a land plan that the developer described in the public hearing. Staff requests that this item be continued to the August 3, 2020 Council agenda in order to ensure that the conflicts in the land plan intent are resolved.
B. 1600 CR 602 located north of Taylor Bridge Court in the City’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (Case 20-036): Hold a public hearing and consider a minute order for a subdivision waiver for the purpose of waiving the platting requirement for installation of a septic system for the addition of a restroom to an existing building. (Staff Presenter: Mandy Clark, Development Services Director) (The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval by unanimous vote.)
C. 240 and 256 Exchange Street located north of the intersection of SW Wilshire Boulevard and Exchange Street (Case 20-043): Hold a public hearing and consider approval of an ordinance amending ordinance B-582, the zoning ordinance of the City of Burleson, Texas by amending the official zoning map and changing the zoning for MCMC Auto/Regional Rental Car located southeast of the intersection of SW Wilshire Boulevard and Exchange Street in the City of Burleson, Johnson County, Texas, from C, Commercial Zoning District to C, Commercial Zoning District with an SUP allowing for automotive rental services, making this ordinance cumulative of prior ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty clause; and providing for an effective date. D. Depot on Main Planned Development located at the northwest corner of Main and King Street (Case 20-041): Hold a public hearing and consider approval of an ordinance amending ordinance B-582, the zoning ordinance of the City of Burleson, Texas by amending the official zoning map and changing the zoning on approximately 5 acres of land for the Depot on Main located at the northwest corner of Main and King Street in the city of Burleson, Johnson County, Texas, from PD, Planned Development Zoning District and C, commercial zoning district to “PD”, planned development zoning district for a multi-family development with optional mixed-use elements, making this ordinance cumulative of prior ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty clause; and providing for an effective date. E. 325 NW. Renfro Street located near the intersection of NW. Renfro Street and SW Thomas Street (Case 20-035): Hold a public hearing and consider approval of a minute order for a site plan for Pathway Church with a waiver request to Code of Ordinances, Chapter 10, Article XVI – Masonry Construction Standards, located near the intersection of NW Renfro Street and SW Thomas Street. F. Freedom Powersports Commercial Site Plan located at 2521 Wilshire Boulevard (Case 20-042): Hold a public hearing and consider approval of a minute order for a site plan for a retail motorsport facility with a waiver request to Code of Ordinances, Chapter 10, Article XVI – Masonry Construction Standards. G. Millis Transfer Commercial Site Plan located at 3501 I-35W (Case 20-007): Consider approval of a minute order for a site plan and waivers to masonry, window and sidewalk requirements associated with the I-35W Overlay for a hauling or storage facility. Consider approval of an ordinance amending a school zone along Hidden Creek Parkway near Kerr Middle School; incorporating the recitals into the body of the ordinance; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; providing a severability clause; finding and determining that the meeting which this ordinance is passed is open to the public as required by law; providing for an effective date and publication; and providing for penalties. E. Consider an ordinance altering the prima facie speed limit along Renfro Street between Wilshire (SH 174) and I-35W from 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour; directing the City Manager or designee to erect the appropriate signage; incorporating the recitals into the body of the ordinance; finding and determining that the meeting at which this ordinance is passed is open to the public as required by law; providing a cumulative clause, a severability clause, a savings clause, a penalty clause, and an effective date.
